10 Strongest DC Heroes Black Adam Could Beat

Black Adam, the antihero, ex-Justice Society member, is far more powerful than many of DC's greatest superheroes realize.

Black Adam has stolen Deathstroke's spot as DC Comics' premiere antihero. Since the turn of the century, Black Adam has gone from a C-list Shazam villain to a movie star with his own comic and has been a member of the Justice Society and Justice League. He's had a monumental glow-up which has definitely been helped by the fact that Black Adam will fight anyone and usually win.

Over the years, Adam has faced off against a lot of powerful heroes and villains. He's shown he's more than capable of taking down the best heroes out there and that he could beat even more if he got a chance to fight them.

Black Adam and Superman have fought many times, and Superman has won basically all of those fights. However, Black Adam could beat Superman. Adam's magic-based powers means that he can hurt Superman and his years of experience give him an edge in hand-to-hand combat over the Man of Steel.

Looking at the tale of the tape, even though he's never actually beaten Superman it's entirely possible that he could beat Superman. The key would be to blitz the Metropolis Marvel, using a combination of magical lightning blasts and fast attacks to hurt him. Once Superman was on the ropes, Black Adam could unload on Supes and put him down.

Wonder Woman is known for being the toughest hero on the planet, even if she's not the strongest. She's a warrior born and has the wherewithal that implies. That's how she wins her fights with more powerful opponents; Wonder Woman doesn't give up. Unfortunately, that wouldn't really help her against Black Adam.

Adam has Wonder Woman beat in strength, speed, and durability, as well as having a long range lightning attack. Other than using the Lasso of Truth, Wonder Woman has to get in close to fight him and that's going to be a mistake. Even if she does use the Lasso, a lightning blast would be enough to get her to let go, losing control of the situation and the fight.

Shazam is another hero who has battled and beat Black Adam numerous times, but that doesn't mean that Black Adam couldn't beat him. Shazam and Black Adam are completely even when it comes to power level. The reason Shazam wins their battles is simple: he's able to take advantage of Adam's weaknesses as a person to win.

If Adam was able to control himself better, something that has improved in recent years, he could easily beat Shazam. He not only has more experience, but he's a more ferocious fighter. If it came down to it, Adam has all the tools he needs to beat Shazam.

Aquaman is a vastly underrated hero. He's strong, skilled, and can take a beating. Sure, he "talks to fish," but he also carries a magical trident, can survive the crushing depths of the bottom of the ocean, and has held up a continental plate before. He's a hero who's not to be underestimated. However, as good as he is, Black Adam could take him.

Even taking everything else out of the equation, Black Adam can fly and Aquaman can't. That's going to make a huge difference. Sure, if Aquaman got Black Adam into the water he'd have the advantage, but Adam's a strategic thinker. He'll never let it get that far and use his superior mobility and speed to win.

Cyborg has changed a lot over the years, with his powers increasing in many ways. Cyborg is mostly known as a team player, but he's also tough as nails completely on his own. He specializes in tech-based solutions, but he has the strength and weaponry to threaten anyone. He'd give Black Adam a run for his money, but he couldn't win.

Black Adam does have a lot of advantages over Cyborg, but Vic is smarter than he is. That's going to keep the fight competitive, but it's not going to win the battle. Adam is easily angered, but Cyborg doesn't have the power to exploit that. Getting Adam angry would just make the fight end quicker for Cyborg, with him on the losing end.

Hal Jordan's adventures have proven that he can handle all manner of foe. Jordan's fearlessness and quick thinking have gotten him out of many jams. His constructs aren't the most complex, but they get the job done. Jordan is very good, but he has some limits that Black Adam can exploit to win.

Adam and Jordan are both rather arrogant, but Jordan is also foolhardy. He's willing to jump in and fight immediately, instead of thinking things out. His constructs are effective, but they're far too simplistic to use against someone like Black Adam. Adam is smart enough to play dead after a bit, let Jordan drop his guard, and blast him with magical lightning until he goes down.

Alan Scott is the first Green Lantern, with a long history of heroism. He's been the powerhouse of the Justice Society for a long time now, using the power of the Starheart to battle against the most heinous enemies. Scott and Black Adam have a history with each other. Scott has faced Black Adam with the Justice Society and most of those fights haven't gone well.

A one-on-one battle between the two wouldn't go much better. Both men know each other, but Alan is going to find it a lot harder to deal with Black Adam than vice versa. Scott's powers have never proven able to take down Adam before, and they wouldn't now.

Donna Troy has a rather confusing history, but is her combat skill is never in question. Trained by the Amazons, the former Titan is a fierce fighter who throws herself into battle against anyone. She's a well-balanced hero, which has made a big difference in her fights over the years. As good as she is, she doesn't have what it takes against Adam.

Donna is powerful, but Black Adam is godlike. He's superior to her in every thing except possibly combat skill. She'd put up a very good fight, but in the end, she'd fall before his withering offense.

Superboy is a venerable mantle and Conner Kent wore it well. He made a name for himself as a solo hero before helping found Young Justice and joining the Teen Titans, proving he's a team player. He's a fiery combatant, all about taking the fight right to the enemy. Unfortunately, that's going to be a problem for him against Black Adam.

Adam and Conner have a lot in common, but the difference is Adam is willing to go much further than Conner. He'll go all out against the younger hero to teach him a lesson, beating him down before he can mount enough offense.

Jon Kent deserves the mantle of Superman. He's taken a different approach to Superman than his father has. Jon is all about thinking his way through things and not relying on his fists. This has worked out well for him, and it's why Black Adam would undoubtedly win.

Jon's problem with fighting someone like Adam is that Adam has the killer instinct and Jon doesn't. Jon is at a huge disadvantage in every way. He may have all of Clark's powers, but the Kryptonian weakness to all things magic is a big problem. He'll do his best, but Adam could trounce him.
